MG TD & TF Cooling

Although not interchangeable, the TD’s cooling system was very much the same as earlier T-Type models. The TF on the other hand had a pressurised cooling system with a 4lb radiator cap under the bonnet. The TF had a slightly lower bonnet line than the TD, so the radiator core had to be made lower however, this was compensated for by increasing the thickness. The radiator and header tanks were painted black with a chrome-plated radiator shell on both models. The TD had a black four-bladed fan while the TF's was red.
