The MGC was primarily fitted with painted aluminium 72 spoke 15”, size 5Jx15 wire wheels and octagonal nuts the same as the MGB. These could be chrome plates as an optional extra. The less common disc wheels had 10 rectangular ventilation holes and bevelled edge hub caps with 5 stud fixings.
The MGC initially had 165-15 Dunlop SP41 and then 156H-15 SP68 on 1969 models. They always had radial tyres. Whilst octagonal spinners on wire wheels were common in many export markets long before the MGC arrived in the UK “Home” market, eared spinners continued into August 1968 before being commonised to the octagonal type.
