MG TD & TF Brightwork

The TD and TF were fitted with a full-width chrome-plated bumper, front and rear with ribbed overriders. A badge bar was offered but was optional. The door handles were similar to that found on the Y-type, fitted on a triangular escutcheon. The grille on the TD was initially painted black but on some later models, chrome plated. The TF had a lower, sloping front grille that was always chrome. The running board on both the TD and TF had three chrome-plated tread strips however, on the TF they ran much further forward up the front wing and tapered off to match the body shape. Both models had a stainless steel strip running down the centre of the bonnet acting as the hinge. The TF had a chrome trim strip running between the upper and lower portions of the bonnet.
