On the MGB GT V8 was the more sophisticated, efficient “cross flow” type cooling system and the radiator had to be moved forwards to compensate for the engine size. The system was pressurised at 15lb/sq”, and the thermostat setting was 82°C. Blowing cold air in on the radiator instead of sucking it through, two thermostatically controlled electric fans were mounted on brackets in front of the radiator.
